While Libyan militias escalate their crimes at sea by shooting at rescue ships and at people on the move, Refugees in Libya organised an impressive protest against the EU complicity and the “deal of death.” While Italian authorities continue their obstruction and repression of sea rescue, several NGOs started the Justice Fleet campaign as a collective response. While the EU governments plan to expand the system of detention and deterrence through the CEAS Pact, self-organised and antiracist networks, in a chain of actions, celebrated the 10th anniversary of the summer of migration, saying loud and clear – to complete the headline above : “Freedom of movement is everybody’s right!“.
